Korean-based brand Gragg is experimenting with different eco-friendly materials and designs to bring humanity the best sustainable durable products, with the help of their in-house scientist from the future Dr. Gragg making it a reality.

Greetings Gragg! Can you tell us the origin of the brand?

Our motivation to join the project stemmed from our concern for global warming and the state of the environment.
We were inspired by the growing awareness among people from different fields and backgrounds about environmental issues, and we felt that we should also take action.
Fortunately, we met Dr. Gragg, who shared our vision and direction for addressing these challenges, and we decided to collaborate on the project. The Gragg team's primary objective is to create valuable collections that take into account environmental considerations and future design, using eco-friendly materials and featuring our distinct color palettes and designs.

What type of materials are used in Gragg products?

The brand’s main mission is sustainability, so with this in consideration, Dr. Gragg conducted research on two types of materials, mainly recyclable and biodegradable materials, and all Gragg products are made solely from these two. Gragg is still conducting research on additional sustainable materials.

The designs of Gragg products are quite original and futuristic. What is the inspiration behind the product's aesthetic?

Our sources of inspiration are diverse and include aesthetics from various materials like fashion and objects. Additionally, we draw inspiration from Dr. Gragg, who slips from the future. However, there is nothing extraordinary about our approach - we simply interpret these inspirations aesthetically with a touch of humor.

What is the meaning behind “Landing for humanity”?

If we were to arrive from the future, a time that currently seems unattainable, the first action we would take is to "land and take a step."
This action is referred to as "landing for humanity" because it conveys a positive message to the current generation facing environmental issues.

Gragg´s branding uses a lot of 3D artwork and a unique approach to social media marketing. What is the creative process behind this?

Artwork for social media plays a crucial role in conveying Gragg's identity. They help us establish a relationship with our consumers by showcasing our brand concepts, missions, and the image that each product has, rather than just promoting our products.
Our goal is to incorporate a mix of current and futuristic elements in our artwork to create a diverse representation of our brand message, which focuses on environmental protection, a concern shared by all of humanity. We aim to strike a balance between being thought-provoking and engaging without overwhelming the audience with heavy content.

Where does the inspiration for Mr. Gragg´s character come from?

Dr. Gragg found biodegradable materials on another planet while conducting research on a planet in 2221.
He made the decision to bring them back to Earth, which was facing extinction 200 years ago, in order to test them. Currently, he is conducting extensive research not only on cases, but also on various other objects to contribute to a sustainable future.

Each style of phone case has a story and meaning behind it related to earth and experimentation. What is Dr. Gragg experimenting with now?

Dr. Gragg is exploring new colors by testing a range of pastel tones and color combinations, in addition to high-saturation colors, and utilizing the unique characteristics of the cases to develop novel color schemes and shapes. Dr. Gragg is actively searching for fresh materials and experimenting with various other experimental subjects beyond just cases.

What can we expect in the future from Gragg?

In the future, we aim to transform Gragg's identity into a new cultural phenomenon through our cases. Our goal is to develop innovative and unconventional solutions to address the challenges we face. The cases we offer have a diverse aesthetic beauty.
We aspire to create a digital wear brand that represents various appeals that align with the consumer's values. Our goal is to continue conducting valuable experiments that contribute to a sustainable future for both Earth and humanity.
