MISBHV X Electronic Beats

MISBHV X Electronic Beats

A diversity of minds and creative realities can generate a special synergy. The latest collaboration between Poland fashion label MISBHV (@MISBHV) and music platform Electronic Beats (@electronicbeats) celebrates the community and collective invention with the launch of a Limited Edition Capsule Collection on the 12th May. Behind the capsule there’s the desire to merge different contexts related to fashion, electronic music, clubbing and digital creators; from this creative convergence comes the will to celebrate and support a community that draws strength from collectivism, shared experience and networking. Its importance and necessity as a force for change is also expressed in the desire to make the Capsule a limited edition whose profits will be donated entirely to Unicef Poland.

For this special launch Trashymuse (@trashymuse) contributes realising some cute avatar looks that shows the potential of digital fashion alongside with the support of contemporary fashion labels; Trashymuse is indeed a pioneer in supporting sustainable fashion choices thanks to the possibilities offered by digital visualisation technologies.

Coeval introduce the collusion between three different but related projects - MISBHV, Electronic Beats and Trashymuse - while having a conversation on community-making and creative exchange with some of the people involved in define the Collection and artists revolving around the community, such as producer and DJ Raven, which joined us in some unreleased images exclusively made by Coeval for this occasion. And as clubs and IRL events are finally making a comeback, MISBHV and EB invites you to join to the launch party with a special event in Berlin this month.

How did the idea for this capsule collection come about?

EB: MISBHV has been on our radar for a while with their progressive approach towards aesthetics, storytelling, community and approach of doing things. As Electronic Beats marked its 20-year anniversary, both MISBHV and Electronic Beats looked into club culture’s heritage, its development and change. Thomas from MISBHV has been sharing his thoughts and ideas for Electronic Beats podcast that was a huge success. This led to find those touchpoints and synchronicity for the collaboration: to celebrate culture, community, togetherness.

MISBHV / Thomas: A collaboration celebrating 20 years of the magazine is simultaneously an ode to two decades of club culture. We were excited to pay an homage and go back to where we came from. It felt like a precise, well defined project right from the start and that’s how we approached it!

How the collab. between a fashion brand, a music platform and digital art creators is rethinking the idea of community?

EB: As culture is multidisciplinary, the collaborative approach between merged industries is key: the energy that comes from co-creating, sharing and changing sparkles while having conversations among creatives. Having the blend, merges communities… Inspires the circles for exchange, collective mindset and dialogue. The collaboration between Electronic Beats, MISBHV and Trashymuse brings together such different yet similar audiences together.

Trashymuse: Fashion, music and art - digital or not - are all ways of expressing creativity and we’ve always loved to trash and merge different creative fields to let something new emerge through symbiosis. Through this way of working we hope to inspire also others to stay curious, use their skills, cross them with others and manifest a more fluent mindset into the world and the metaverse. For the communities the advantages are clear: experience new styles with all senses (ears, eyes and touching) outside of their known community - exchange ideas, knowledge and network.

Club culture has a special tie with fashion as a way to express yourself and your creativity freely. What do you like about this connection?

Raven: Different forms of expression have always inspired one another, whether it’s art, music, fashion…music and fashion have always walked hand in hand into the sunset lol. Fashion is just another form of expression. Sometimes it can alter ur mood by dressing up or vice versa ur mood can change how I want to be perceived. Just take something and put your spin on it, you know.

The music scene has been paused for so long. So stuck up together as a community is so important right now to imagine new ways of connecting and create. How did the club scene reacted after almost two years of closure?

Raven: Past few years have been very difficult for everyone in our scene. I think what kept me sane was the support and love I received but also taking this time to do as much as I can in the studio. I have to say that the shows I had this year were really special and you do get the feeling people are just grateful to have the opportunity to dance again and express themselves. It’s almost as we all took it for granted.

For this reason, now more than ever find each other in a concrete space and connect IRL has a particular special meaning. For the Capsule drop, MISBHV x EB are planning a launch event in Berlin this month. Tell us a bit more about it!

EB: Togetherness and community is the key. As a result, we are thrilled to celebrate IRL the 12.05 at Superconcious Berlin. MISBHV x Electronic Beats capsule drop will feature Thomas (MISBHV Recordings) and Raven (Rekids) djing at the event, and the newest King Kong Magazine issue will be there to grab and view.

MISBHV and Electronic Beats invites you to reconnect and support the community with a very special Capsule Drop event*, so if you happen to be in Berlin those days mark the date on the calendar, in the meanwhile have a sneak peak at the MISBHV x EB Capsule Collection in Coeval’s exclusive shots and Trashymuse digital version.
