Cottweiler SS18
The British duo Matthew Dainty and Ben Cottrell took inspiration from the optimism and escapism of off-grid desert communities. They were interested in the transitional states: between natural and artificial, restriction and freedom.
Having experimented with innovative materials in hues of sage, sand, ivory, orange, navy blue, white and silver, Cottweiler's produced a collection that was a fusion of functional and decorative. Updated signature tracksuits, jackets and t-shirts were accompanied by a diverse range of accessories and jewellery pieces with lizard motif that was also embellished onto models' bodies. Teaming up with Rebook once again, Cottweiler created multi-functional and dynamic pieces in line with brand's ethos of combining the mental, social and physical.
