Lorcan Finnegan

After killing it as a sketch comedy editor and motionographer in London, Lorcan returned to his motherland and began making short animated films, before turning to live action shorts and commercials. This is a selection of photos from his street portrait project #DublinFaces. All photos were taken on iphone in Dublin, Ireland.

Lorcan has written and directed several award winning short films, TV commercials and music videos. Lorcan’s latest short film for the Irish Film Board, 'Foxes', premiered at the SXSW in 2012 & won an IFTA for Best Short Film as well as going on to screen in competition at Tribeca and many other high profile international festivals. He has just finished post on WITHOUT NAME his first feature film, a supernatural thriller due to premiere early in 2016. Lorcan is currently collaborating with writer Garret Shanley (FOXES and WITHOUT NAME) on the sci-fi feature ‘VIVARIUM’ with Film4 and the IFB due to shoot next spring.

He published GRANNYFASHION in 2014, a book of his street photography as part of StudioAad’s Whereweare project. His work has also exhibited at the Bernard Shaw and been featured on many blogs and magazines, including a feature by Instagram and Time Magazine.
