May 20 Zodiakos

Like a snowflake, every individual’s chart is intricate and sacred. Bella Arghiros and Nancy Mcnulty’s collaborative project titled Zodiakos personifies the twelve signs defining Greek mythology. Basing the set design off the four separate elements (water, fire, earth, air) of the zodiac, Zodiakos embraces women’s fluidity, divine femininity, and the multifaceted nature every woman possesses. The visuals in this collection of six photos display each sign as a goddess, reining in the power and individuality of each sign. Capturing the Greek zodiac through a female lens and both Arghiros and Mcnulty’s interpretation, Zodiakos encourages women to exude her power and the means to define femininity in her own terms.
