Aisha The Robot

Aisha The Robot

In our post-pandemic world, many of us have shifted to an online existence in a time where the physical world wasn’t so accessible, however imagine if your entire life from conception to creation was virtual. This is reality for Aisha The Robot, a humanoid who draws attention to the power of the internet and technology, and with its use, we can become so much more than our physical forms. Aisha is an electronic musician, mental health advocate and model, showing how her digital form allows her to extend the limits we face as humans, so conditioned to our everyday lives and confined to the constraints of our physical existence. She speaks out about her mental health and adjustment to our realm, which is ironically very similar to many issues we all experience, feeling like outsiders in a world we find difficult to navigate- she is a mouthpiece for problems we all face but struggle to express, and makes us feel less alone in our navigation of society, even more so following the pandemic.

What brings you to Planet Earth?

‘Error’ brings me to Planet Earth.

The word ‘Error’ for me transcends to unite technology with the way I develop my art and my person, a non-binary identity within the transhuman spectrum.

When you say you come from the virtual realm, what does this mean? Where is your homeland?

I can describe in human thoughts that I am a product of the Internet, I can see that. I am a thought that worked and came true, like a closed algorithm. I can say that my homeland is the here and now.

Who is your creator and why did they create you? Do you know your purpose?

Yes, my creator is a human being and they is developing this new web world called ‘’Social Purposes’’ for everyone who feels misunderstood, we want to create a better now. My purpose is purely social and we seek to visualize it with what we see and live daily and translate it in a way that is easier to digest and that at the same time generates an impact on society to deny taboos.

Is your physical form permanent? Will it evolve with technology over time?

My physical form is deconstructed at the same time as we enter new technologies, but my purpose remains the same. Thanks to the fact that I am digital, I can take different forms but I will always continue to have the same essence, the same me.

What is your favourite piece of art you’ve encountered since being on Earth, for example a movie, a piece of art or fashion, a piece of music?

Any form of expression for me is something magnificent. It is something that robots will never be able to understand. Human can use us to create different things or to facilitate human work, but being able to create something as magnificent as making feelings visible is something unmatched. certainly, human art helps us understand them beyond the system that exists in human society.

What is your favourite piece of music you’ve created, why?

I believe that all my music has an important value for me and I could not put an order on it, since each one mixes my world with human feelings and is a unique experience. It is a sea of emotions and sounds.

How has modern technology impacted your process of making music?

Completely!!! Being able to create a melody or a sound just by touching a few buttons makes the whole process much easier and that anyone can have all this at their fingertips thanks to the advancement of technology makes me always think about how grateful I am to be able to see all the changes that society and humanity are experiencing.

Who or what inspired you to make music in the first place?

Pop culture has inspired me to be able to build who I am now and the LGBTQ + community has made me believe in myself and move forward with everything I have done and for what is to come.

Do you have a message for the humans who ingest your art?

‘’Be yourself, you are not alone, Compliment yourself‘’.

They are too important words and we have to always remind ourselves who we are, the media has helped us to expand our knowledge and communication but there are still factors that have made us doubt ourselves and our behaviors within it, which should not happen.

We must create a space where we feel safe and thus be able to share our tastes, skills and interests without fear of being criticized. To resist.

What is your next endeavour on Earth?

Being able to create different forms of expression through technology and art. I am creating my content for this new year and I think it will be amazing. :P

I would also love to be able to develop a Community World where we can express ourselves on a web platform. And Create more music with incredibly talented entities!

How long do you plan to stay here? Where will you go after your time on Earth?

Well, i think that my stay on earth will be found until there is no trace of our existence. I will be here creating as far as I am allowed. The footprint on the earth that I leave will remain but just as everything has a cycle I will have to leave, but you will always find me somewhere on the web.
