First things first, Highceilingblues’ dad didn’t actually invent toaster strudel. Second, nothing compares to a good morning routine and get that big, curly hair whipping. And making every day count. Then, go somewhere forever spring time blended with nostalgic muses, preferably in 70’s style, together with a futuristic touch to find the source of Brandon’s artwork. Maybe it’s Instagram.

Where are you from and where do you wanna go?
Well I am from Connecticut originally New Britain Connecticut to be exact. And if I could go anywhere it would probably be a made up place where it's always spring time. But if I had to answer more realistically I would go to Hawaii I guess.

What is your most important routine? If you have any.
My most important routine would be regular everyday morning ritual. People say I'm like an old lady the way I take time and make sure I feel the best that I can feel everyday. It's just important because it makes the whole day feel like an accomplishment.

I think some of your drawing has a 70's touch in style. Does the decade inspire you in any way?
I love this question! I feel like I have been so inspired by the past and the peaks of fashion in each decade. The 70's is one of my favorites, especially lately with my hair getting longer. With my art I always have played with that, being inspired by the fashion and make up of the past and sometimes playing with my idea of what the future would look like.

You often draw using a model/instagram personality. What is it that you search for and require of a muse?
If I am honest I just started to look on instagram for inspiration. I started to do it when I was having artist block and found myself just sucked up in social media out of boredom. Then it clicked to just start using my favorite people on Instagram as my muses. My favorites are usually the ones that have a very nostalgic taste and have a very future mixed with the past look about them.

If you would create an avatar of yourself, what would it look like?
If I was to create an avatar of myself or even a self-portrait I would most definitely have big curly hair, my grandpa looking glasses, and of course a moderately beautiful beard/goatee combo. Maybe even add some freckles or moles on my face too. I just find them to be very pretty!

Your hair is big (and really cool), is it full of secrets?
Well a major secret I keep is that my dad didn't actually invent toaster strudel! But seriously if I was to keep any secrets in my hair everyone would know them by now, considering I always whip and shake my hair around. I really do love myself though maybe that's the secret, always take the time to love yourself everyday it truly keeps you level headed and happy.
