Danny Lowe
English Photographer Danny Lowe was born in North Yorkshire and began photographing at a young age. Lowe’s more personal work revolves around more social narratives such as his series on children living in North East Yorkshire and how the closure of the British steel plant has affected their daily lives. This series in particular gives weight to a younger perspective and contrasts between such fresh life and the apocalyptic destruction ensued by the plant’s closure and its economical repercussions.
Showing an early interest in art, Lowe began to print out pictures and draw over them in his fine arts classes in college and eventually abandoned painting to pursue photography full-time. Most of Lowe's professional work revolves around fashion photography and he is a frequent contributor at Dazed. He is currently based in London.
