As one who studied fashion, Carlos has an instagram that is almost magazine like in it’s layouts and even content. Check out our favorite posts of his and learn a little about the fun loving guy behind it all.
What is your name and where do you live? Do you like it there?
Hi! I'm Carlos M. Román, I'm an Aries and I currently living in Mexico City. I do like it! There is a lot to do here but also there are too many people!
How old are you? How old do you feel? What are your thoughts on aging?
I'm twenty-five years old but when giving advice to my friends, I feel fifty and when I’m on the dance floor, I feel seven. When I was a teenager I was really scared of aging so I told mother that I was going to kill myself when I became old. Now I feel indifferent. I’m excited and curious about what I'm going to become and where I will be. If one day, I become bald, I will put on a pink wig and get really skinny to look like a witch, not a wizard, a witch.
Is there a designer or brand that you dream of collaborating with some day?
I am a fashion designer! I studied to become one due having the desire to do something creatively related to fashion. I currently do not know what specific field I would like to be in. People surprise you, though, so I don't know what type of crowd will be interested in my work. I hope to collaborate with younger designers. It is more easy for me to give you a list of the designers whom I would refuse to work with rather than the designers who I would like to work with, lol.
How did you learn graphic design? Are you super tech savvy? Are you in love with your computer?
I actually learned from YouTube. When I was younger I would use Corel Draw to edit my pictures to create the illusion of making me stand next to famous people. Years after I started to use Photoshop, I realized that it wasn’t that different. I wish I was more tech savvy, I am more of a technology fanatic, which is not the same.
I am very in love with my computers! For the last 10 years of my life, for different reasons being: TV replacement, where I can be creative or simply to communicate in long distance relationships. There was a time I was without my computer for two months and I became so depressed that I cut my hair off.
What do you think about the Spring Summer 19 collections - anything you are eyeing from the catwalk?
I'm very into Charles Jeffrey Loverboy. The way he puts on a show is unique and grand and I love all the big headpieces. Craig Green seems very cool - the silhouettes he made with structures were so interesting. And Prada, always Prada. I wish I had those mini shorts right now with the hat and the colorful long sleeve t-shirt.
What projects are you working on right now? Anything exciting we should know about?
I am continuing to put more of my content on Instagram and for months I have been thinking about making videos to talk about certain fashion topics. Also this week I have been talking with my friends about printing some things...we will see.
