Musician, artist and producer Raven Artson recently curated a one-off group show in celebration of his friends called ‘Rosed Out’ at Ghost Gallery in Los Angeles featuring himself alongside musicians, DJs and artists such as Liam Benzvi, Jasper Lotti, Ekaterina Bazhenova Yamasaki, Water Sports and Jacob Sousa. Previously profiled by Coeval, Artson has shared a selection on photographs from the show - which was, in his own words, meant to make the attendees ‘feel rosy’ or ‘rosed out’. Last we spoke to him, he was based in Amsterdam, but has since relocated to LA. By focusing on his own friendships, he curated the show based on his own personal connections since his introduction with ‘the City of Angels’ - sharing a space for emerging artist he’s met along the way to share new ideas. The theme of the event was a group-shared experience - ‘finding strength in being one of many’. He’s been settling into the city through collaborative affairs like this - working with other artists, doing live performances and recording an upcoming EP called ‘Manmade Lake’ with Jasper Lotti. With an analytical outlook on life, Artson (a Virgo), aspires to become the best artist possible and ‘go all the way’ - ‘it’s the only logical reasoning’, he shared. As we look forward to the future of the Netherland-bred, California-newcomer’s work, here’s more of a taste of the show below.
