Steven Ahlgren is a photographer best known for his photos of office life. Deeply inspired by paintings by Edward Hopper and Rembrandt, Ahlgren is known for his photographs of corporate offices and subjects. The vivid works contrast with the somber tones they reflect. His photography indicates a directness that dance around Ahlgren’s own intimacy with office work. Ahlgren has also been published in several publications such as Fortune and the New York Times. Originally a banker, Ahlgren went to study photography at Yale School of Art where he received his Masters of Fine Arts degree. Ahlgren is currently based in Media, Pennsylvania.
