Straccia Town” breathes life into Joey Boccardio’s illustrations through an intergalactic collection shoulder to shoulder with other outsider artists
“Straccia Town” is a part of “Outsiderwear”, a collaborative assembly of emerging designers and artists whose goal is to merge mainstream industry appeal with outsider art. With this project, Joey Boccardio’s comic style is transformed into garments in the flesh; illustrative prints, diverse silhouettes, and characteristic styling are directly translated from paper to reality through Mulas Hybrid Haus’s pieces and clever style edits by Tirino Yspol. From July 10 to 24, the presentation of “Straccia Town” will partake in the Outsiderwear Festival throughout various locations in Amsterdam alongside several other “outsider” and “insider” creators.
