Veronica Vixen

Veronica Vixen

Veronica Vixen stands out in the mythology of dominatrices. Her online persona hearkens to classic images of pin-up girls and sexploitation movie stars--with an added sense of self-awareness. I met Mistress Vixen at a fetish video shoot for the "artcore" porn site Mondo Fetiche and was instantly disarmed by her mischievous sense of humor and retro appearance. She wore a neon green two-piece skirt set, still managing to stand out against a background decked with fake palm trees and plastic pink flamingos. Once the lights came on, she doled out equal parts cruelty and irony. A professional video star in her own right, Mistress Vixen creates hundreds of tease and denial videos from her pink fetish studio in Los Angeles. Her home films, along with the quirky merch items she sells, are just a few of her many creative ventures working as a full-time independent ProDomme.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and where the name DumpsterBaby came from?
My name is Mistress Veronica Vixen. I'm a professional Dominatrix based in Hollywood, CA. I've been a ProDomme for 4 years now. I started out working in dungeons to now being independent for the past couple of years. I mostly do in person sessions with those seeking to live out their BDSM fantasies. I also do fetish clips which is a large source of my income as well. My insta name DumpsterBaby was just recycled from my MySpace name back in the day ha! The name is a good balance of filthy and sweet with underlying dark humor. ME. TOTALLY.

How did you come into your career as a professional dominatrix?
I had a slow progression to becoming a ProDomme. I had no clue you could do it as a career! I experimented with kink in my late teens for fun and pleasure. Once I found FetLife, I was able to find submissives who were compatible with me as a top. Through a quick Google, I found dungeons that were hiring in Los Angeles. I had already built my experience and online presence through BDSM years prior. This made it easier for me to get hired and trained further at a house dungeon.

What's it like to have your own private play space in Hollywood versus working at a typical dungeon?
From working in this industry, I've realized each dungeon is ran differently. The house dungeon I worked at was a set schedule a couple times a week. You could be a Dominant, Submissive or Switch (which is both!). During your shift, you would wait for a client to walk in and pick you out of the line up or ask to see you specifically. The dungeon was well equipped with toys to use and other women to join on your session if needed. It was great for training since the head Mistress a.k.a. Head Bitch in Charge, was open to teaching whatever you wanted to know. My private play space is great since I got to design the whole place pink. It's not your stereotypical dungeon aesthetic. Sissy sluts fit in great here! Anyways, It's great for My regular clients or when I'm filming perverted videos. I mostly rent out another dungeon for independent Mistresses.

You have an iconic sense of style. What was the process like of finding and creating your signature look?
Ty. I went through so many odd ball style phases when I was younger. I dressed like Robert Smith from the Cure to pulling my thrift stores versions of John Galliano's Dior Couture. Vivienne Westwood and Kathleen Hanna from Bikini Kill were inspirations thrown in there somewhere. Now my current look is a combo of all of that plus some Amazon wishlist gifts, Fashion Nova tackiness and latex! The only thing that is My go-to when getting dressed is color! Lots of color!

Who/what are your top artistic influences?
The photographs of John Willie, Gene Bilbrew's illustrations, 70's porno magazine covers and @Saftkeur 3D fetish work.

How does humor play a role in your work?
Humor is important to me in a session. Having a submissive humiliate himself for a good laugh is almost always necessary. Especially since I absolutely love ALL forms of humiliation! Public, Small Penis, Virgin, Religious and so much more! It also keeps the creative juices flowing when you're having a good time. I can have fun making them lick the toilet but then I think, "Oh it'd be funnier for them to lap up the toilet water with piss in it!" You can just keep building a scene from there...a swirly with their own piss could be hilarious too. lol.

What's your favorite restraint and/or implement at this moment?
My recent piece of furniture is a pink smother box. It's basically a box with a seat on top of it. Their head goes through the box and you can comfortably sit on their face. It's as hot as it sounds and you can use it as an implement of torture. Just rest on their face long enough till they're wiggling around. This is smothering, recommended for advanced players.

If you controlled all the men in the world, what would be your first order of business?
To treat them how they've treated Women for centuries. Lesser pay. Rare promotions and no jobs with men at the head of the company. Have them use male birth control (it's coming soon!) or vasectomies. Allow Women to harass/degrade them with no penalties.

How has Instagram's crackdown on sex workers and adult content affected you, and what would you change about their policies if given the opportunity?
If you are unaware of Insta's new rules I suggest this article (NSFW) https://www.xbiz.com/news/247831/facebook-instagram-target-sex-workers-with-updated-community-standards With bills like SESTA/FOSTA passing in 2018, It has made most social media platforms hard to advertise or simply exist on. The bill prosecutes any site that facilitates in sex trafficking. This sounds like a great thing except they umbrella consensual sex workers with victims. Third party sites like Instagram/Facebook/Tumblr/Backpage wherever can be prosecuted for my advertisement. This also pushes real victims of sex trafficking underground, making it harder for cops to find victims if there is no online trace to follow. It's a law that has really affected both victims of sex trafficking and consensual sex workers in a negative way. It seems to me why Instagram is cracking down even harder on their rules. Women are targeted on their platform for their bodies "looking sexual". Excuse me, I should say not all women. You see celebrities showing their nipples without their Instagram being taken down 5xs. I wouldn't change Instagram but create a new social platform, allow women to be as sexual as they decide they want to be and get rid of corrupt companies like Insta :).

You just opened up a new merch shop! What was your experience like collaborating with other artists for this?
I love kinky artwork so much so I wanted to commission my own designs. The two artists I collaborated with were Insta: @Richiebrowntown and Twitter :@qoscomix Both have a unique style that vibes with mine perfectly. This made it easier for the design ideas to come together. My next collab will be with Insta: @satan__dong

What's the best way for people to buy your content?
Thank you for asking and supporting! My Twitter (@MistressVixenn) is the best place to find my content. My merch site is Dumpsterbaby.com
