VERSACE EMBODIED
Medusa, via Gesù, 12. Photographed by Camille Vivier, 2025
Chapter One of Versace Embodied begins with a constellation of voices. Conceived as a cultural project under the creative direction of Dario Vitale, it invites artists across photography, poetry, and performance to respond to Versace’s values with their own vision. From Vivier’s mythical Medusa and Modica’s Mediterranean portraits, to Schorr’s raw illustrations and Myles’s visceral words, the project builds a dialogue between archive and present, myth and body, vulnerability and strength. More than imagery, it is an ongoing exploration of what it means to embody Versace today.
Camille Vivier reimagines the original Medusa in Milan, Andrea Modica captures youth in Southern Italy, Collier Schorr responds with intimate illustrations, and Eileen Myles offers poetry that bares the raw intensity of the House. Together, they form a fearless collective uniting strength, sensuality, and contradiction.
