HOLON Berlin introduces ‘Lick the walls to understand echoes’, an immersive installation by Abigail Toll and Anton Filatov. Through an intricate dialogue of sound and reactive visuals, the project extends Toll’s forthcoming album Idol (Superpang, 7 Nov 2025) into the physical realm.
The work draws inspiration from the Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum in Malta, translating its 5,000-year-old acoustic mysteries into a study of resonance, memory, and symbolic decay. As ritual loses its place in the contemporary order, the installation asks how sound might still bridge the spiritual and the scientific, the ancient and the digital.
