“Repetition is not repetition. It is insistence.” A century after Stein’s lecture, the idea finds new life in Tirana. The second edition of Tirana Art Weekend returns as a declaration of endurance, unity, and belief in the self-authored story of Albanian art.
From 27 to 30 November 2025, the city becomes a living stage. Thirty-three exhibitions and events draw connections between artists, collectives, and institutions that sustain the cultural ecosystem of the capital. Independent spaces, experimental initiatives, and regional collaborations coexist to form a network of shared commitment.
The Institute for the Integration of Former Political Victims acts as the festival’s nucleus, hosting projects without a permanent home. This early 20th-century villa, restored and reimagined, anchors a program that extends into every corner of the city, from Art Kontakt to Bazament, from Tek Bunkeri to Pararoja, and beyond. A satellite program expands the reach to Agimi Art Center, Galeria FAB, and other venues that carry the same sense of urgency.
““A platform, a celebration, and a collective statement of purpose.””
Yet what defines this statement is persistence. The local art scene insists on its relevance, not through imitation or reaction, but through continuous presence and conviction.
Tirana insists, and through that insistence, it writes itself into the world’s cultural narrative, confident, collective, and unafraid to repeat what must be said until it is finally heard.
