Carhartt WIP and F.C.Real Bristol Launch Debut Capsule
Carhartt WIP and Tokyo-based F.C.Real Bristol have engineered their first collaborative project. The collection includes sportswear-inspired garments, accessories, and memorable football collectibles. F.C.Real Bristol began in 1999 as a fictional football club under the SOPH. umbrella. The brand created a fresh category by turning football gear into daily attire just ahead of the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
Their debut joint effort relies heavily on functional design and contemporary culture. The range features F.C.Real Bristol’s performance-focused materials updated with Carhartt WIP’s signature color palette. Shoppers will find items rendered in Dusty Hamilton Brown, wax, navy, and black. Each piece features co-branded jacquard webbing for a unified look. The apparel selection introduces thick interlock varsity jackets alongside warm-up jackets made of lightweight nylon satin. Game shirts and shorts utilize moisture-wicking fabrics for true athletic utility. The accessory line offers a knitted scarf, socks, a canvas cap, a custom football, and a brown rubber duck.
Theodor Guelat directed the surreal campaign imagery. His abstract visuals distill football into emotion and ritual through a non-linear narrative.
To celebrate the debut, the brands organized a global activation designed to bring people together. This initiative consisted of a series of table football tournaments held in ten major cultural hubs. These events invited the public to participate and share their passion for the sport. Tournaments took place from April 9 to April 10 in cities across Europe, Asia, and North America. Participating locations included Amsterdam, Barcelona, Kuala Lumpur, London, Milan, NYC, Paris, Seoul, Tokyo, and Toronto. By hosting these gatherings, the brands turned a fictional club concept into a tangible community moment.
Global audiences can access the capsule starting April 10. The items will arrive at Carhartt WIP physical stores, select retailers, the official website, and the brand application. Public table football tournaments will occur from April 9 to April 10 to highlight the launch. These energetic events will happen in major cultural hubs. The host cities consist of Amsterdam, Barcelona, Kuala Lumpur, London, Milan, NYC, Paris, Seoul, Tokyo, and Toronto.
