Izzy Du’s creations have always displayed conceptual ambition and a relentlessly explorative approach to fashion design mixing creativity and wearibility, combining and manipulating different materials and creating garments with unique external silhouettes and intricate internal structures.

The debut of the TIGER Summer Puffer which will be presented in Paris during Paris Fashion Week, 1st-3d October 2023, and available starting from next year’s spring and summer, is thus a coherent step forward for the Chinese-Canadian designer.

In a groundbreaking collaboration with Tiger Beer, the brand will launch the first puffer jacket made with a beer-powered cooling system that can cool the human body down by up to 5° Celsius in the sun. The tubes are centrally connected to a bag containing Tiger Beer on the back of the jacket. A jacket with not only subtle tiger ears, fangs and stripes, it is the first puffer that merges tech seamlessly and symbiotically. Having cooled people down with refreshing beer in Asia for over 90 years, now Tiger Beer is expanding its cooling range with wearable tech.

If the first time that might come to one’s mind is the apocalyptic scenario described by Philip K. Dick in The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch, where cooling systems are needed just to survive outside for a few minutes and not get liquified by the sun, we suggest a lighter and more joyful, and yet environmentally conscious, approach. Catering to Gen-Z’s obsessions, with this new product Izzy Du widens the horizon for a season that usually comes with great styling limitations.

To celebrate the opening of her pop-up, Izzy is hosting a special launch party at the store on September 30th, from 5−9 pm.

Additionally, Izzy has privatised the famous Silencio Club on October 3rd, from 11 p.m. to 5a.m., featuring an exclusive lineup with Fiona Zanetti, Skrillex, Tatyana Jane b2b Greg.
