Ottolinger SS26 Backstage
Ottolinger’s Spring/Summer 2026 “Heidi” collection marked a homecoming at Berlin Fashion Week, timed with the label’s 10th anniversary. Designed by Swiss duo Christa Bösch and Cosima Gadient, the show reimagined the brand as the “cool older sister” archetype, bold, supportive, and unapologetically real. Opening to an electric energy, with Kim Petras appearing in ribbed knit and visors set to Darude’s “Sandstorm”, the runway blurred lines between rebellious youth and resilient maturity.
The collection leaned into classic Ottolinger signatures: figure-hugging mesh, exposed midriffs, asymmetric cuts, and deconstructed tailoring layered over distressed utility pieces. Grey-toned suits were undone to reveal skin beneath inside-out silk shirts and tapered suit pants. Sculptural wedges, sneakers, pumps and medieval-inspired poulaines punctuated the looks, adding quirk and texture.
Set against an atmosphere of confidence and sisterhood, “Heidi” emphasized softness as strength. Bösch and Gadient described the figure as one who “taught you how to land,” not prevent falling, a narrative that resonated with Berlinale’s focus on resilience and creative comeback. Ultimately, the presentation served as a welcome alternative to the polished corporate chic dominating recent runway seasons, positioning Ottolinger as both relatable and aspirational—a sister whose edge is grounded in heart.
