Larry Bell’s most iconic series of wide-scale glass sculptures are amongst the main inspirations for this collection of otherworldly photographs. Larry Bell is a renowned American contemporary artist who emerged during the 1960’s for his refined perception of space and volume capable of making viewers question the realities of light and dimension.

Bridging Bell’s conceptual use of light and nuances of fashion photography, Fredrik captures the serene movement of the bare human body under various lightings and compositions complimented by a peculiar play with light, shadow, and reflection.

It is rawness embossed with beaming colors: the pure emotions contained within the black and white shots are juxtaposed by the free flowing slivers of opaque lights surrounding the body. There is a quiet strength to the textures and contours rendered by Fredrik’s works, thus making the viewer perceive a different reality beyond grasp.
