Capsule Plaza returns to Milan Design Week in April 2026 with a new main venue at Via Achille Maiocchi 8, directly opposite Spazio Maiocchi, and a programme that extends well beyond the fair format it has always resisted fitting into.
The claim for this year's edition is Design State of Mind, a phrase that positions design not as a category of objects but as a way of orienting oneself toward the world. Form and content, mind and body, product and concept in a relationship of alignment rather than hierarchy. It is a generous frame, and the lineup that fills it is built to sustain it.
Stone Island presents No Seasons. Karimoku Research features Waka Waka. Lichen NYC, Devon Ojas, Postalco, Bolon with Martino Gamper, Nooma Design with Just An Idea, and 1x Technologies with NEO The Home Robot all take part. Special projects come from Harry Nuriev and Panter & Tourron. The bar is curated by NEIT featuring La Marzocco. A Capsule gift shop completes the picture, with further names still to be announced.
Spatial design for the event is led by NM3, the Milan studio of Delfino Sisto Legnani, Nicolò Ornaghi, and Francesco Zorzi, whose approach to material and space brings an internal coherence to an event that could otherwise feel assembled rather than designed.
The programme runs alongside a full schedule of talks, workshops, and listening sessions. In tandem with the opening, Capsule releases the fifth issue of its annual magazine, which has consistently treated radical design less as a historical category and more as a live question for the present.
