FEUERSTÜHLE

  • Via Montegani 7, Milano Italy (map)

FEUERSTÜHLE presents a collection of motorized objects by Michael Gaedt alongside photographic works of Eric Scaggiante.

A glimpse into Gaedt’s garage, where he has spent over 40 years adding horsepower to objects — from bumper cars to wheelbarrows. These creations then took the stage as props for his band, Die Kleine Tierschau, with whom he played over 4,500 shows. FEUERSTÜHLE recontextualizes the objects within the exhibition space as sculptural artifacts of a lifelong obsession.

Eric Scaggiante’s photo series documents the creations in and around Gaedt’s studio in Stuttgart, Germany. His images oscillate between documentary precision and surreal portraiture, capturing both the brutality of the engines and the childlike imagination that fuels them.

eBay finds meet junkyard treasures and are lovingly set in motion by engines. Too wild to pass vehicle inspections, too weird for road approval. Eric Scaggiante managed to capture them all.
