FIELD WORK

  • Factory Eleven Via Padova 11 Milano (map)
Tillmann Lauterbach and Weseeclearly in a spatial dialogue of material, form, and perception.

Field Work brings together new and selected works by Tillmann Lauterbach and Weseeclearly in a spatial dialogue of material, form, and perception. Set within a vast industrial space in Milan, the exhibition unfolds as a sequence of interconnected fields that invite visitors to wander, linger, and engage intuitively. Through contrasting materials and processes, the two artists explore underlying structures that may be sensed before they are consciously understood. Functioning as an experiential framework, the exhibition leaves meaning open to emerge through attention, interpretation, and interaction.

Tillmann Lauterbach (b. 1977 in Germany; lives and works in Milan) develops sculptures and spatial installations using stone, wood, metal, and found materials. His practice explores transformation, recontextualisation, and the histories embedded within matter. Drawing on harmonic proportion and geometry, his works investigate how material and spatial relationships can generate meaning beyond immediate appearance.

Winston Chmielinski, working as Weseeclearly (b. 1988 in Boston; lives and works in Berlin), works across painting, textiles, installation, and procedural software. Drawing on projective geometry and reverse perspective, his practice explores how perception shifts at the edges of images and systems. His works move between physical and generative processes, investigating permeability, participation, and immaterial form.
