Beautiful objects in a room do something to the pace of a day. People arrive quickly and leave slowly, and the hours in between belong to whatever the space decides to become.
This September, DEORON joins Monopol Berlin for five days at the heart of the Currents design festival, in a building we have come to love. What happens inside works as a study in contrast and company: furniture beside fragrance, ceramics beside sound, sculptural pieces keeping company with the things you use every morning without thinking about them.
Around all of it runs a program built for a long day. Talks, listening sessions, live performances and gatherings that move the room from morning light into the small hours, each one changing how the objects read.
0800 Nature's Calling pour their own wines throughout, made right there in the Berlin winery, which tends to settle the question of whether to stay.
