Lake Live returns on 1 August with Sprachkörper, a new performance by artist and electronic musician Leonard Maassen.
Developed during a residency at Lake, the work draws on a personal archive of diary entries in German and English, using voice and modular synthesis to treat memory as a material in constant movement.
Created for a ten channel spatial audio system, the performance considers the space itself as part of the composition, with sound moving through the room as an essential element of the work.
The event begins at 4 PM at Lake, London, with the performance at 5 PM followed by a conversation with the artist at 6 PM.
