grounds FW26
grounds Fall Winter 2026 continues the label’s exploration of footwear as both functional object and sculptural form. Founded by Mikio Sakabe, the brand remains known for its signature inflated soles that challenge conventional proportions and alter the way the body moves through space.
For this season, grounds expands its language of exaggerated volume. Sneakers and boots appear with enlarged transparent bubble soles, layered technical fabrics, and glossy finishes that emphasize their almost architectural presence. Some designs incorporate translucent materials and reflective surfaces, creating the illusion that the shoe is floating or suspended. The silhouettes feel playful yet engineered, balancing futuristic design with everyday wearability.
Alongside the footwear, garments are kept relatively minimal, allowing the shoes to remain the focal point. Relaxed shapes and padded textures echo the rounded forms of the soles. With Fall Winter 2026, grounds continues to blur the line between fashion, industrial design, and conceptual object, transforming footwear into a statement of movement and imagination.
