Lanvin FW26

Lanvin FW26

This Paris menswear week, we caught up with Lanvin. Their showroom looks over Parc Monceau in the eight arrondissement. Here, we explored their latest collection.

Jeanne Lanvin began with kidswear, designing for her daughter Marguerite. She then moved on to womenswear, and arguably even more notably, to menswear. Jeanne Lanvin was the first Parisian couturier to venture into menswear.

Their latest collection therefore not only celebrates one hundred years of menswear at Lanvin, but one hundred years of menswear by Parisian couturiers.

They still preserve Jeanne’s original offices at the Lanvin atelier today. Here, you can discover some of her old journals.

On display for this collection, Lanvin presented Jeanne Lanvin’s journals documenting her travels to Venice.

Displayed next to the collection, you could see samples of purple, pink and blue beading; weaving with black ribbon, and ornate fabrics.

This was all reflected in the latest collection: One can see flashes of shades of blue combined into a print resembling murano glass. You can find a suit shirt with a weaved black ribbon embellishment, resembling the one noted in Jeanne’s original diaries. Accents of purple can be seen in the latest men’s faux crocodile suit shoes, and the ornate fabrics sampled by Jeanne now take on the form of a dinner jacket. Don’t dare to forget Peter Copping, though.

We can see ode’s to Peter in coats finished with faux fur leopard print collars and increased expansion into knitwear.

All of these designs, rich in the history of Lanvin, further reference the travels of their founder, by being produced in two of the oldest factories in Venice.

The Autumn-Winter 2026 men’s wear collection of Lanvin honors the history of fashion, and their founder, but also displays growth. We hope to visit Venice again with Lanvin soon.
