Prada’s Fall Winter 2026 menswear collection, presented during Milan Fashion Week, offered a thoughtful reflection on the role of clothing today. Designed by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, the collection looked to the past in order to question what still holds value in contemporary dress. Described by the designers as an “archaeology of thought,” the season revisited familiar menswear codes and reconsidered what is truly necessary in the modern wardrobe.
Staged at the Deposito of Fondazione Prada, the runway became a space where details took center stage. The garments carried a sense of history rather than novelty, appearing considered and lived-in. Precise, restrained silhouettes drew attention to posture and the relationship between body and clothing. Classic pieces such as trench coats and substantial wool outerwear were reworked with printed motifs reminiscent of historical references, adding depth and texture without excess.
Throughout the collection, contrasts in material and proportion created a quiet tension between structure and comfort. Quilted leather jackets, oversized capes in rich tones, and streamlined tailoring formed the core of the lineup. Subtle styling choices like wallets visible in pockets and expressive headwear reinforced a sense of everyday use rather than spectacle.
Rather than anticipating trends, Prada FW26 functioned as a meditation on continuity, where garments became carriers of memory, craftsmanship, and cultural meaning.
