Prada’s Fall Winter 2026 womenswear collection, presented at Milan Fashion Week inside the Deposito at Fondazione Prada, offered a deeply layered exploration of identity, transformation, and daily life. Co-creative directors Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons used the concept of layering not just as a styling device but as a metaphor for the multifaceted realities women navigate. Each garment suggested movement through time, memory, and experience, reflecting how clothes are worn in real life.
The show featured just 15 women modeling 60 looks, with layers intentionally removed over successive walks to reveal hidden combinations underneath. This approach highlighted individuality, self-determination, and the fluidity of personal style. Tailoring intersected with sportswear, embroidered satin dresses, and archival pieces embedded in minimal forms, creating unexpected juxtapositions that felt both familiar and new.
Set against a backdrop of historical art and furnishings spanning five centuries, the presentation underscored the richness of personal histories. The collection embraced contradiction and evolution, offering a vision of contemporary dressing that is intimate, reflective, and layered with possibility.
