The Lorenzo Seghezzi SS26 debut collection finds its roots in Milan’s club culture, a world where the designer first discovered love, fashion, and friendship. With iconic spaces such as Plastic and Leoncavallo now closed, the atmosphere carries both memory and urgency, making the choice of inspiration highly personal.

Congrats on this incredible show. I see the main inspiration of the collection is very connected to clubbing culture.

Yes, it is like the future of clubbing, though with one foot in the past, and less in the present. That world was where I first discovered love, a passion for fashion, and friendships. In recent weeks, a lot has changed in Milan: Plastic closed, Leoncavallo closed. So even if there are more pressing topics today, it still feels very current. I wanted to bring that to Pasterella, especially since this is my first show.

My world revolves around corsetry. Corsetry tightens and makes volumes stand out.

The casting looks very diverse, and it fits perfectly with the mood and the collection.

Most of the casting are people who are part of my family, the ones I wanted to have with me. They fully support me, and together we are like one big family.

Could you tell us a bit more about the fabrics, especially the choice of leather?

This is the first time I have worked with leather, supported by Linea Pelle, which is also why we are here. At the beginning I was very scared, because I had never used leather in my life. As always, all the cuts were made by hand, by me and my assistant Miriam. At first we were nervous because we did not have the proper machinery and no experience with it. But over time we found our own way, and we managed to master it.

I also brought back some silhouettes I had developed in the past but set aside. I revisited those old modeling papers and gave them a new life through the vision I have now, which has matured with time. That makes me very happy. It feels like a circle closing, while also opening new ones. Seeing the final result was a very meaningful moment.

I also want to ask you about the shapes, there is a knot on one side and an oval on the other.

That comes from playing with contrasts, which has always been central to my work. My world revolves around corsetry. Corsetry tightens and makes volumes stand out, so that dynamic has always appeared in my silhouettes. I worked with pulls, volumes, drapes, and constrictions connected to corsetry. Leather is very good for belts and similar details, so the process felt quite spontaneous.
