I grew up in Salford, Manchester, in the 2000s. My mum always blasted her favourite 50s Motown classics whilst doing housework; her particular favourite album being ‘’The Temptations - Greatest Hits’’. The sound and souls of Motown filled our home. I still find it hard to forget her high pitched, screechy voice howling along to Diana Ross and The Supremes. This one’s for you Mummy!!!
