Kayla Trillgore is an artist who has always moved between thresholds, across music genres and different media as tools for self-expression, and now this liminal space has become the core of her storytelling.
With her latest song HYPERRREAL, which precedes her upcoming EP NEWMETAFLESH out this February, she’s launching a wider project that aims to build a multimedia platform, where music, character design, visual essay, and performance are the outputs of her research about the intersections of bodies, technology, and desire.
This is the second step in the NEWMETAFLESH process.
It’s the layering of phantasmatic tissue, the projection of the self away from the real body, becoming a hyperreal body.

This is the dawn of a new identity, a simulation, where observers and perceptions layer to shape a projected reality, fulfilling the need to feel seen as we want to be perceived, in a panopticon of gazes curated by ourselves.
