Perfection
Interdisciplinary artist Amanda Mehl, in collaboration with artist Olimpia Dior, created the short film ‘Perfection’ as a retro-futuristic narration of a sorority living a remote lavish lifestyle. A lucid day in the extravagant life of Pearl (the protagonist, played by Mehl) and her posse as they train for a talent show, the film is “a visual feast” on the surreality to striving for perfection. Society’s mesmorisation with magnificence is often analysed in Mehl’s work with previous ethereal creations of hers incorporated into the set design, aliging into with NYC based fashion label ‘Amehl’.
