Henrik Vibskov AW19
Usually one to present in Copenhagen, Danish designer Henrik Vibskov debuted his Autumn Winter 2019 collection in Paris for Men’s Fashion Week. Titled ‘The Radish Arm Charm,’ the range is informed by the relationship between technology and farming.
Voluminous silhouettes in the collection allude to the idea of organic mass; digital-print plants and flowers on the garments form a comfortable intersection between the natural and the man-made. Colours are bright and striking, with orange and blue dominating the palette.
The collection reflects the romanticism imbued on nature, and conversely, human interference via technology. It is melancholic yet hopeful, offering a constant reminder of environmental awareness and mankind’s ability to adapt and react.
