NO/FAITH Studios X Puma
The collaboration between NO/FAITH Studios and PUMA takes shape in the revival of the Talon sneaker, first introduced in 2004 and remembered for its bold Y2K character. For this release, the German sportswear house handed the silhouette to NO/FAITH Studios, a label that thrives on contradiction and raw intensity. The result is a sneaker that feels both lived-in and forward-looking.
The upper is treated with distressed denim surfaces that recall the patina of vintage garments, balanced with paneling inspired by racing uniforms. A cage structure adds a sense of protection and weight, turning the sneaker into something more sculptural than athletic. The look is neither nostalgic reproduction nor straightforward redesign; it instead communicates the tension between memory and reinterpretation.
Launched first at GATE 194 before reaching PUMA’s online channels and select retailers, it quickly sold out, pushing demand toward resale markets where prices already stretch far beyond retail. The release demonstrates that reissues need not rely on nostalgia alone. With the right collaborator, even an archive silhouette can take on new urgency.
