MM6 SS26

MM6 presented its Spring/Summer 2026 collection in Milan, staging the show directly on Via della Spiga, beside its newly renovated flagship store. The white-painted sidewalk became a runway, framing a collection that combined raw immediacy with careful construction.

The references were rooted in resilience and community. Backstage, moodboards juxtaposed Lisetta Carmi’s 1960s portraits of trans communities with images of Naples’s Quartieri Spagnoli. Rather than nostalgia, these images offered context a spirit of endurance that translated into the garments.

The clothes reworked archetypes with MM6’s signature irreverence. Oversized jackets carried jutting shoulders, shirts and blousons were re-cut with hanger-like inserts, and trousers blurred lines with denim tailoring. Jeans were refined, while suits carried the grit of workwear. Throughout, labels dangled visibly, hems were left raw, and bursts of acid yellow, fuchsia, and turquoise punctuated a base of muted neutrals.

Archival gestures appeared alongside playful inventions. Garment bags became capes, coats layered over matching dresses to form twinsets, and familiar silhouettes were fractured into new proportions. The store renovation even fed into the collection, with construction materials inspiring textures and details.

MM6 SS26 stood at the intersection of grit and precision. It was less about spectacle than about shifting perspective, reminding Milan that fashion can carry the weight of memory and the immediacy of experimentation at once.
