Moschino SS26

Moschino SS26

Moschino presented its Spring/Summer 2026 collection in Milan under the direction of Adrian Appiolaza. True to the house’s spirit, the show balanced irony and imagination, but this season it carried an unmistakably harder edge.

Everyday objects were elevated into eccentric couture. Crinoline hoops appeared as skirts, rubber bands were engineered into ombré mini dresses, and chimney brushes turned into shoes. Fabrics printed with newspaper pages carried only positive headlines, while handbags took the form of apple crates, cooking pots, and beach buckets. The humor was sharp, deliberate, and unafraid of absurdity.

The finale shifted tone. Appiolaza closed the show wearing a white T-shirt printed with the image of a child and the word “Stop,” an explicit reference to children caught in conflict. Backstage, he underlined his intent: fashion should not shy away from serving as a platform for awareness.

This duality defined the collection. The lightness of Moschino’s visual jokes sat alongside an urgent social statement, suggesting that wit and conscience can occupy the same space. With SS26, Appiolaza confirmed that Moschino remains irreverent, but also attuned to the realities of its time.
