Onitsuka Tiger SS26
Onitsuka Tiger revealed its Spring/Summer 2026 collection under the creative direction of Andrea Pompilio. The show reaffirmed the brand’s sporting heritage while reinterpreting it for a contemporary, metropolitan audience.
A standout motif was the return of 1970s stirrup track pants, presented in a vivid yellow and paired with double-breasted blazers. This interplay between athletic codes and tailored refinement ran throughout the collection. Jackets were cut small and precise, with signature wrist labels intact, while biker leathers were softened by pairing them with wide trousers or lingerie-inspired slip dresses.
Outerwear carried technical weight, including orange parkas cinched at the waist and quilted jackets embroidered with florals that hinted at equestrian references. Evening pieces introduced a surprising note of glamour, with beaded dresses finished with scalloped hems and drawstring details that kept them rooted in the brand’s casual vocabulary.
Footwear delivered some of the most inventive moments. Satin sneakers recalling ballerinas appeared in pale pink, while the Mexico 66 model was transformed with leather fringes and tassels, hybridizing sport and classic design. Accessories were led by the new Tiger Tote, a canvas bag decorated with graffiti and floral prints that reinforced the collection’s urban attitude.
Onitsuka Tiger SS26 balanced archival memory with present-day demands. Pompilio’s approach was not nostalgic but strategic, turning historic codes into a flexible language for now. The result was a collection that felt both rooted and restless, connecting the ease of sport with the polish of city dressing.
