Refin Studio opens in Paris
Paris, June 2026. A material rarely earns its place on a wall or a floor by looks alone. In serious contemporary design, a surface proves itself through technical behavior, through how it reads under different light, through what it can do inside a real project. This is the thinking behind Refin Studio Paris, the first French address for Ceramiche Refin, now open at 9 bis Rue Auguste Barbier in the eleventh arrondissement, one of the city's most active creative districts.
For over sixty years the company has built its work around a close relationship between research, manufacturing and design. Refin Studio Paris carries that approach into a single address, giving architects, interior designers and other professionals a place to look closely at ceramic surfaces and to work through their own projects alongside the brand's technical team.
The space opens with a visual account of the company itself, its site in Salvaterra, its raw materials, its production line and photography studio, and the annual program that brings designers from around the world to see it firsthand. From there, visitors move through a sequence of connected areas built around one library wall in wood and porcellanato, each section devoted to a different stage of material research, from sample study to technical consultation to the light tests that reveal how a surface will actually behave once installed.
